Steve Clarkson, the President of Heritage Investment Management, has a distinguished career in corporate and educational management; banking and investments; and the military.

Steve was educated in Economics (BA) and Finance (MBA) with a concentration in investment analysis. He has managed investment portfolios for over 30 years and has extensive experience with corporate as well as individual client programs.

His experience includes Director- or Vice President-level positions with several Fortune 500 companies where he was responsible for managing 401(k), deferred compensation, pension and other investment / insurance programs.

He was the founding director of Wayne State University's Division of Professional Development and Assistant Director of The University of Michigan's Management Center. He has taught business courses at graduate and undergraduate levels at both universities.

He has been active in the community as Chairman of the Board of the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce; Co-Chair of the Chamber's Community Foundation; and a board member of Rotary.

Steve is a decorated U. S. Air Force officer whose service includes acting Director of Intelligence with the 12th TFW in Vietnam and Chief of Special Operations Intelligence in Europe.

Steve is a Registered Investment Advisor and a Principal with Foothill Securities, Inc., an advisor-owned broker / dealer founded in 1962 and headquartered in Silicon Valley.
